Beaver Camp 2013

The Beavers are going camping in the Curraghchase Scout Centre on the 15th of June! Full details will follow shortly.

Parent & Scout Hike

We are in the early planning stages for a parent and scout hike in Curraghchase on the 25th of May. There’s even talk of a barbecue afterwards. As soon as we have finalised details we will let everyone have the details but mark your calendar, we will expect to see you there!

Beaver Easter Egg Hunt

So Richard, Naoise, Venture Scout Rae and 17 Beaver Scouts went on an Easter Egg Hunt last Sunday the 7th of April, 2013. It didn’t rain, they found all the clues, they explored Craggaunowen inside and out, met some wild boar and brought home a treasure trove of Easter eggs.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2013

We marched in the Newcastle West St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Newcastle West on the 18th of March. It was wonderful to see the whole community out on the day.

First Investiture

We had our first Investiture Tuesday the 12th of February, 2013. It was a huge success and we are delighted to have Scouts back in Newcastle West.
